[SingCERT] Security Updates for Adobe Player

[ Summary ]

There are reports that a vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player is being exploited in the wild.

 

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player which will address the vulnerability CVE-2012-0779 that could cause the application to crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

 

 

[ Affected Systems]

·         Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.233 and earlier for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux

·         Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.7 and earlier for Android 4.x

·         Adobe Flash Player 11.1.111.8 and earlier for Android 3.x and 2.x

 

 

[ Impact Analysis ]

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow:

  A remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system
 A remote user to run the code with the same privileges as the target user

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player.
